Our
Story
Only the Exelon Invitational brings you the biggest names in golf. Each year Host Jim Furyk, winner of the 2003 U.S. Open and perennial top-ten PGA tour star, invites three of his closest pals (names such as Stuart Appleby, Chad Campbell, David Duval, John Daly, Adam Scott, Padraig Harrington, Charles Howell III, Davis Love III, Sergio Garcia, Retief Goosen, Phil Mickelson, Jesper Parnevik, Nick Price, Vijay Singh, Chris DiMarco, Justin Leonard and Mike Weir) to compete in a fourball tournament worth over $300,000.
In its tenth year, the Exelon Invitational has provided Delaware Valley golf fans with the opportunity to get up-close and personal with the world's top players in a competitive, yet casual setting. Unlike the pressure packed atmosphere of a PGA tournament, players spend time mixing it up with sponsors, spectators and guests.
In addition to a great day of professional golf, there is there is the Marquis Jet Golf Clinic conducted by PGA Tour pros, an expo area featuring both national and local companies, the Penn State SMEAL College of Business MBA program $1,000,000 Hole-In-One Shootout and the $10,000 putting contest both open to the public. Fully catered Hospitality Suites for sponsors are open throughout the day and offer a first-class entertainment experience. The Exelon Invitational also includes a series of events in the days preceding the tournament, which include upscale sponsor golf outings and a lavish Gala on the Green, featuring live and silent auctions to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs.
The Exelon Invitational hosted by Jim Furyk is the only professional golf event in the Philadelphia area. The tournament is proud of its commitment to promote golf in the region and contribute to local charities. Over $950,000 has been raised for local charities, including our Official Beneficiary, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia.
